The Chapter was established in 2013, with a Vision to promote the development of an open and accessible Internet in South Africa.

We as Internet Society Gauteng Chapter and Wikipedia have engaged Khanyisa students and teachers with our project that is focusing on Content development in local languages. We did a workshop about the project and how to open accounts, editing a story via the Wikipedia and Wikimedia platforms.Read more
